Representatives vote YES on HB 73.  Surviving spouses and heads of household status should be according to the IRS Code.  We should not be taxed at the Single rate!

Bring Back rail travel in northern va

 This is my idea that may help aleveate the traffic problem in the northern va area. I was doing reserch on my own minature version of this railroad in Ho scale when it doned on me. Why not reopen the line and improve it in real life. This line ceased operation on August 27th 1968, Its last major bussness was the construction of dulles airport and the community of reston.

Budget Savings

One way to save money would be to not pay state employees for holidays.  This would take the place of using furloughs, and added overhead of administering these and the inconvenience to citizens for servcies since state offices would be closed anyway.  

Then if budget problems still exist look at extending furloughs to other days.

State Inspection Stickers

Many localities have chosen to do away with their county windshield stickers.  They were/are a pain to put on and a pain to take off. It is time to do the same with the annual inspection sticker. Most inspection stations can't get them on straight and leave a mess when they take them off. Instead, place two small stickers with the month and year at the bottom of the license plate (the same as the registration expiration stickers on the top of the plate).  No more window stickers!

Legalization of Sunday Hunting

In order to:

  1. help keep Virginia Hunting related revenue in Virginia

  2. bring out-of-state Hunting related revenue into Virginia

  3. have better contol over the ever increasing populations of Deer and Coyotes

  4. provide an additional day to help intoduce our youth to Hunting and it's associated conservation efforts

... It's way past time to finally legalize Sunday Hunting in Virginia !!!

Going back to 65 percent in the prison system.

I have a major problem concerning the Department of Corrections.  Recently Governor Kaine informed the state that the out of state inmates we were housing from Wyoming ere going to have to leave becasue of a pending lawsuit filed by Virginia Beach aganst the Department of Corrections.  That has cost the department 18 million dollars in revenue since those inmates will not be housed in Virginia any more.  The bigger problem is the fact when former Gov.

Early Voting at the Polls (in Person)

Currently Virginia offers absentee ballots for citizens who will not be in the area on election day and mail in ballots for those unable to get to the polls. Our Commonweath does not have an early voting opportunity at the polling place to allow citizens greater opportunity for participation.

Get rid of VITA

Ever since the creation of VITA, dispite GA disaproval for the agency, By Gov Warner they have been a drain on all other agencies budget.  due to the fact that they are a self financing agency they charge upwards to 25% additional for their so called services.   This agency has been ripping off other agencies to support themselves.  It originally was tasked with a 5% add on to fund themselves but now it is way higher than that.  All their employees walk arounf with new laptops and aircards while other agency's personnel use computers that will only run Windows 98.&n
